M-shape society

M-shape society is an observation put forward by the Japanese business strategist and writer Kenichi Ohma. According to his observation, he argued that the structure of our society has emerged into a 'M-shape' distribution.

In a well-developed modern society, the distribution of classes is in a 'normal distribution' pattern, and the middle class forms the bulk of the society.

However, in the emergence of the 'M-shape society', the middle class in the society gradually disappeared. A very few people in this middle class may climb up the ladder and squeeze into the upper class, while the others in the middle class gradually sank to the lower classes. These people experienced a deterioration in living standard. They may face threat of unemployment, or their average salary are dropping.

Gradually, they can only live a way the lower classes live: e.g. take buses instead of driving their own car, cut their budget for meals instead of dining at better restaurants, spend less in consumer goods...

This seems to be seen clearer and clearer in the Malaysia society. In the recent reports, the undergraduates seem to have lesser salary and more and more of them do not even have a job and have to stay jobless for more than 6 moths.

Besides that, with the oil price rises higher and higher, people taking KTM,LRT,STAR are getting more and more. Then, with the prices to buy houses continue to rise and rise, how many of us can afford to buy a better house in KL?

What was worse, the writer argued that the upward social ladder seems to have disappeared - opportunities and fair competition become fewer and fewer. People in the lower class can no longer climb up the ladder: they cannot earn a high-paid job or have stable employment, even if they have a high level of education. The places in the upper class were reserved by the upper class for their descendants.

This indeed is very scary. Saudi Arabian prince alone can buy an A380 airbus but Malaysia don't even have money to buy an airbus yet. The shaping of M-society is getting clearer and clearer. Government should not be still running the racism favorship policy and should look deep into this matter. When the free-trade market become a reality in the future, we can no longer bar the wealthy giant oversea companies to invest in this country... We can no longer stop them from buying our local companies and lastly controling the whole MAlaysia...

Ah Tan's story

Wal-Mart and Metro AG will set up their hypermarket in Malaysia soon. Good news? Bad news? U decides after u read the story below.

Ah Tan owns a small grocery shop. His father was a migrant from China. The old man was able to raise 10 children by running this small family business. Although they are not very rich, but Ah Tan’s father was always very proud with his small little shop.

Ah Tan’s father passed his shop to his eldest son after he retired. At first the business was good. Their shop has a good reputation in the neighborhood area as the boss is polite and friendly, the price is reasonable and the location of the shop is very strategic.

However, according to Ah Tan, the business in the shop has gradually decreased through out the years. At first, more grocery shop was being set up in the neighborhood. Then, slowly, more supermarket, shopping center were opened. Now, with all those hypermarket, not many people want to come to his shop anymore.

Ah Tan know the reasons behind. His shop is small and old fashioned. When compare to the hypermarket, the goods that he sells were not as many and complete. Besides that, the space in hypermarket are so huge, comfortable, air conditioned, the sales girl are all young and attractive. The most important thing is, the prices of the things they sell are very very low-priced. He doesn’t blame his customer for not wanted to come to his shop.

Now that the business was so bad, Ah Tan was in a dilemma now. He was 50 this year. His children Wei Hong and Wei Ling are still in secondary school. With the crude oil price rise to $90, soon there will be increase price in everything in the market…

Can he increase the price of the goods to earn more money? He doubts that. If he does so, the remaining customer will all leave him. How is he going to survive in this competitive world??? If he closes his shop now, what can he do??? As the only bread winner in the house, how is he going to support his family???

There are many similar Ah Tan stories in Malaysia now. Will the small and medium industries go into bankrupt one by one when all the big companies from overseas started to come in under globalization concept? What can the government do to help them to survive?

Translation - Negaraku

This is the translation which post in the comment column by an anonymous responding to my previous blog. I don't know who is this but thank you very much.
I thought this may clear many doubts and would like to share with my friends.

I Love My Country
Negaraku

(Repeat) Check it out, yo, yo, yo.

(Repeat) Negaraku, Negarakuku.

I love my country, only when you have a country you have a home
Only with a home then there will be me, standing here with you
Loudly singing, don’t be afraid
Even though I curse all the time
My song, is just like the durian
Tough and spiky, only
To see if you dare to open it, to look at the truth inside
It can be very stinky, it can be very fragrant
It only depends on what kind of nostrils you have.

Our police is called Mata
Because they have very shiny eyes
Once it’s New Year, they will be very hard working
Holding pens but they will rarely write you a receipt
Because they are thirsty, they need to drink tea
Also kopi-O, want to add sugar?
If they add sugar, their mouths will sweetly smile at you
When you are leaving
They will even go “Tata.”

Negaraku
Tanah tumpahnya darahku
Rakyat hidup bersatu dan maju.

This phenomenon, doesn’t need any improvements
Neither does it need strengthening, the police and the people work together
A cup of coffee keeps our relationship temperate
I so very suka
At least I won’t go home and receive a saman (fine or ticket)
My dad would sure be pissed
I would also kiong kan (swear word in Cantonese for “get raped”), with no car to drive
What to do, this time so very kao lat (an expression, something like aiyo)
With no car, how do I go out and play?
With no car, how do I wage “wild war”? (I don’t know what it means but I assume it has something to do with a girl)
With no car, how do I go and watch ah kua? (transvestites)
This country, I like it very much.

5 in the morning
There’s even a morning call to wake me up
Sometimes a few of them will sing together
When you listen to it, it’s like a love duet
The voice ululates like an R&B song
Even though sometimes they sing until it’s out of tune
Even though sometimes they even sing until their voices break
Some sound like cockerels, but they wake up earlier than them
This way we can know the time to get ready for class and for work
Don’t blame, the government only takes cares of the natives
Don’t blame, we don’t receive equal care
Only this way we can prove that we Chinese are not afraid of hard work
Only this way we can train ourselves to find a solution during hard times
Don’t feel weird about their standards
Because this only shows that we are smart (or capable)
Children who are not spoilt will not be dependant
Because you see some children are still not weaned off breast-feeding.

Rahmat bahagia
Tuhan kurniakan
Raja kita
Selamat bertakhta.

People who hide in government departments are even better (even more capable)
They can do everything so slowly
Even when people are queuing, are cursing stinky lelai (what’s that?)
They’re chill and unfazed
Sometimes they even bring out their kuih
They eat their nyonya kuih
More people will continue queuing up
Even when you curse stinky lelai it doesn’t matter
Because the guard at the side is dreaming
And he won’t scold you one lah.

They wrap up their heads; walk slowly and cross the road slowly
When you pass in the car you even have to let them pass first
The most important thing is to live happily; the most important thing is to live comfortably
Don’t be like the Chinese
Busy the whole day, very tough
We really cannot NOT admire this spirit”
Because this is their attitude in life.

(Attitude, attitude)

I’ve been saying good things in this song
I believe those of you who are pissed at me will like this now
The world is peaceful, and full of hope
No one is hurt, there aren’t any riots
You’re so classy, you’re so elegant
Your shit is fragrant, and you don’t curse
You guys are the most high class, every day it’s just romancing

Listening to Guang Liang Pin Guan (this local Chinese artiste)
But he already ran to Taiwan
Private school students graduate
It’s so very tough to get admitted into local universities
Actually we don’t have to get pissed about this issue
Actually this is the a very noble plan by the government
They want us to explore the world, to find new opportunities for ourselves
To learn things and come back and repay the country
This is plan is so great, I can’t quibble about it
All over the world you can see Malaysia’s children
They’re like refugees, so very shiok (expression for orgasm or high)

2007, Malaysia’s having Visit Malaysia Year
The Chinese culture is brought out and paraded
The government doesn’t even care about private school students
The certificate is thrown into the longkang (ditch), just like me

Graduated and went to Taiwan
Learned about things, and got ready to come back to repay my country
I stood on the streets of Taipei with my guitar
But my mouth still sings.

Rahmat Bahagia
Tuhan kurniakan
Raja kita Selamat bertakhta.

Negaraku

Recently, there is a guy call Wong Ming Zhi uploaded a video - NEGARAKU on You Tube.
He is a Malaysian, an undergraduate student who study in Taiwan and likes to write and sing songs during his free time.
He is a VERY TALENTED R&B singer.
I personally think that he will become a very famous singer one day!!!

"Negaraku" is a R&B song created by him, which describe various Weird phenomena happen in Msia.

I personally find this song very interesting and all of the lyrics inside are just FACTS.
He did not simply crete anything.
Those things mentioned in the song are exactly what happen in Malaysia. If you guys want to listen to this song, can go www.youtube.com and search for it.

Because of this song, the Malay community are very furious and angry.
Many of them wanted to jail him.
Many claim that he is biadap (RUDE)
Some claim that he is trying to start a war...
and the worst thing is some VERY STUPID FELLA say want to burn down his house and kill him and his family.

Come on la, dear Malaysians. Wake up and face the reality.
A war is not so simple and started by a song.
A song is just an entertainment.
An entertainment is just a leisure activity to relax oneself
A relax activity is going to cool down one's mind.....

OUr prime minister said he want to hear the REAL story when he was just elected on 2003.
Ming Zhi is trying to tell a real story happen here and right now in Malaysia.
Why want to detain him???
Why want to torture a student who love his own country???
(OF COURSE HE LOVE HIS COUNTRY, if not, he won't take so much effort to create the song. If he does not like Malaysia, he will just simply ignore the news in Malaysia and will not take an effort to update himself about things going on here)

SOme time earlier, the government say want to detain blogger under ISA.
Now they want to detain somebody because of a song.
Then a few days back, a 19year old guy who forgot to bring IC stay in a jail for 6 months.

People who kill and rape and corrupt escape jail term.
People who did minor minor thing went to jail.
What happen to our Legislation system???
What happen to our system???
What is this???

can anyone tell me?????

What happen to Malaysia???

Malaysia is very sick these days. VERY VERY SICK.
If nobody is going to something about it, I think it will eventually rot and die.

1) Murder cases everywhere

Murder cases can be seen almost everyday in the newspaper.
The thieves and robbers last time are "better". (??? At least they don't kill)
Nowadays, thieves and robbers kill u when they feel your money too little to be rob.
They said: " waste petrol and waste energy"
Then, mother help bf to kill daughter and pretend the dauther was kidnapped.

2) "Paria" aeroplane

The Nuri helicopter crash AGAIN!!!!!! All 6 passangers on board died.
This is already the "n" time accidents happen with this helicopter.
Why they still continue using???

THen, FAX airline company aeroplane need RM40000000 to repair their aeroplane.
Worst thing --- government have to pay for it...
What is this???
Government pay means tax payers pay!!!
We did not do anything to the plane!!!
We did not ask the birds to built nest on the plane???
WHY need to pay???

3) Stolen car???

A guy which act as a customer went to a show room showing sports car drove away the car after crashing the show room glasses.

Then, he changed the road tax, change car plate, and prepare to sell the car....
But the car has no petrol left !!!
so oooops, he had to abondoned the car..... get petrol? get help? nobody knows.

In the same time, the police manage to trace the car and they found it!!!
YES!!! they are so efficient. And they lock it into the store.

At the same night, the guy came back.
do wat???
Of course to steal the car la.
He cut open the gate and drive the car away.
IMAGINE. The car is inside a POLICE STATION!!!!!

When our police woke up in the morning, they quickly launch a search.
and they finally got the car back AGAIN!!!!
But this time the car is in really bad condition.

I dunno wat the thieves trying to proof.
They are better than the police???
Malysia has no law???
I really dunno.....

Mice pic!!!

Below are pics taken by MY in the "IMU zoo".

See the mice in the cage. The yellow biscuits are their food and RO water next to it.
Can see the mouse drinking water?

Next is the "kesian" mouse looking at all the strangers.

Are they planning to escape from the cage???

Lastly, the baby mice just born. They do not have fur. haha, Alan though they are peanuts.

More pic will be shown next time.

Harry Potter and the order of phoenix

I went to watch harry potter!!! FINALLY!!!

I don't know there are so many Potter fans in msia.
So, when there are more adult fans than children fans turned up in the cinema....

I got a conclusion.
"I am NOT CHILDISH"

Overall, the movie is not as excited as I think. I give B.

OR put it in this way. The movie is not as good as the book.

THe moral of the story is:
Never compare the movie to the original book.
Most of the time u will be dissapointed.

Since the origianl story of the order of phoenix is "not short" and in order to fit the whole story into a 2 hour ++ movie, they had to cut off those scene which are not relevant.
Ok la, for this I can forgive them.

But the fighting scene between the good and the evil site which suppose to be the climax of the movie and the part where Sirius get shot by Bellatrix the witch can be more excited.

NOw, the director showed it in such a way like they are using some sort of star war style shooting among each other.

Then, for Cho Chang I dun really like her role. haha, not being jealous that she actually kiss Potter, but just feel that she still need to brush up for her acting skill. her face expression is very fake.

Lastly, the best part is the firecracker part where the weasley twin brothers sort of take a revenge on Umbridge the funny little pinkish shorty woman. haha

Looking forward for the final book from JK Rowling.

P/S:Pic taken from the warner bro pic.

Catch a mouse

Yesterday I went to the "mini zoo" in my uni.

This mini zoo is actually a place to keep the animals needed for research projects.

They only has mice and rats inside.

The lab assistant --- Ari taught me how to catch a mouse, change the food and water for them.

WALAO. Cathcing mice is super difficult.

That was my first time doing it. Can feel my heart pumping SUPER FAST when look at those super active mice.

Besides that, with all the people around u screaming and "motivating" u :

"catch the tail!!!"

"catch that one, catch that one!!!"

" oh my god, is coming out oledi"

" Don't worry, just do it!!! Is VERY easy, it WONT bite u"

-.- so u know how stress the situation can be.

Anyway, After few minutes of struggling, I FINNALY manage to do it and successfully transfer 2 mice to their new cage.

Those "cute" mice pic will be uploaded once I got the pic from MY.

The tragic story

As chinese saying goes, beautiful women would end up having a very miserable live. 红颜薄命
I don't know how true is this statement, but this at least reflect on the life of the Mongolian beauty - Altantuya.

Altantuya was born in 1978. The mongolian beauty can speak many languages and she was trained to become a teacher. However, she did not start her career as a teacher but instead become a part time model and start a tour business in Mongolia but her business was not good.

As for her marriage, she had 2 marriages which ended up divorcing and the 2 children from each marriage follow her and they were raised by her parents.

Altantuya misfortune began when she met Abdul Razak Baginda, who is a defence analyst in the think tank malaysia strategic research center.

Both of them met in a gala party in Hong Kong in 2004 and began an affair. The man began to bring her to Europe, give her expensive gifts and cash as high as US$10,000 at a time.

Their relationship turn sour when the man began to feel tired of her. However, he continued to give her money. Then, when the payments stopped in 2006, Altantuya decided to travel to Malaysia to demand US$500,000 from him.

So this become a final trip away from Mongolia. She never had a chance to see her loved ones again. Her son, her parents, her siblings and friends...

This few days reading the murder trial on the newspaper, I suddenly feel so sad of this beautiful woman. She is beautiful. She had her own career, people who love her and she CAN have a good life, and do not need to depend on a man to survive.

But instead she chosen to become a third parties in a relationship and she is too greedy and demanding. As a result, she ended up killed by some stupid police who is supposed to protect the public and her body was exploded in to various tiny pieces.死无全尸 and her 2 children ended up have to grown up without parents. I wonder what has gone wrong with this world???

Many people think that the man is to be blame in this murder case. I also don't know how can someone be so cruel to a people that they were in love before. How he can be so cold blood??? However, come to think of it, both parties also had responsibilities.... She should know the limit.

For Altantuya, this life is not a good one for her. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Hope she rest in peace now. The next life, if she still become a human, ask for a smart brain instead of a beautiful outlook.

First day of semester 7

Today is the first day of sem 7 --- final year of my programme.

Cant believe that I am oledi so old (haha, although people always call me "ama" but I always think they are just jealous that I am mature!!! haha)

Anyway, thinking of not going to have any exam this sem make me happy. But doing research project for the WHOLE SEMESTER!!! dunno whether will get bored or not.

According to 1 of the lecturer, research is something that u either love it or hate it. No such thing as in between. So, we will seeee wat is going to happen.

So, today my friends and I met our supervisor and co-supervisor to have a meeting early in the morning. Basically it is just a brief introduction of the research laboratory and some of the activities which we had to carried out during our project.

In my project, we will be handling machine called HPLC - high performance liquid chromatography, play with mice , do some tests, get data and analyse the data.

In summary, it is all about "wrapping" up a drug with some chemical stuff called surfactant to make the drug more soluble. Then, after "wrapping", we are suppose to feed the drug to the mice and check the distribution of the drug in the mice organs and blood.
fun??? no comment now...hehe

Yes!!! MICE. A total of 350 mice were ordered for 2 different projects. It is difficult to handle mice. IMAGINE--- LIVING MICE. they are not dead and we are suppose to feed them everyday and maybe play with them. haha.

So that is what I am brief today. Hope the whole sem 7 will be fun and the research project will be going well, and most important, the result are well too!

Know Your Medicine

Do u know your medicine?

As a consumer, we seldom realise what are our rights and responsibilities in buying our medicines. Understand more of our rights can actually help us make a better decision and we can get a better health outcome.

Recently, Msia government set up a health campaign called "Know Your Medicine"

It is a health campaign jointly organised by :
1) Ministry of Health (MOH)
2) Federation of Malaysian Consumer Association (FOMCA).

The campaign was just launch yesterday 29june2007 by the minister of health at melaka

This campaign aims are :
a) to let the public know and understand their medicines,
c) to educate them to use medicines rationally
d) to inform their right to information on medicines.

In conjunction with this campaign, they set up a website to let the public access.
http://www.knowyourmedicine.gov.my/

I find this website quite useful and interesting. As a pharmacist, educating consumer on rational/proper use of medication important and this webstite help to increase the awareness of the consumer which will in turn cause the pharmacists' job to be more easy.

However, when there is an increase in awareness, the consumer will tend to ask more questions. As a result, pharmacists must also equip themselves with the latest information to make sure that they fulfill the increase demand of the patients.

I think this time the government had done a good job by launching this campaign. Hope it can successfully sent the correct message to the public and the campaign also should not be just "3 minutes work" and each relevant sectors must also help in making the campaign a success.

P/S: This is also a good website: http://www.myhealth.gov.my

A story about a friend

In respond to Shui yee recent blog,
I am also going to write something about my little GARFIELD friend here. hehe

Shui yee has a very beatiful chinese name, 淑仪.
But same with all the "banana" ( non-chinese speaking chinese), among the hundreds and thousands chinese words, they only know how to write their chinese name.

However, compare to other "banana", she is not really a banana as she can speak hokkien quite fluently and her mandarin is not bad. Her pronunciation is very clear and understandable. BUT she just don't want to speak to us in mandarin.

Shui yee is a soft-spoken girl. She always stay calm and cool and although she is having a small frame, she is strong and tough inside her heart.

Although she don't like to smile, but she can make great joke. Her joke can always make people laugh until rolling on the floor, and sometime I just don't know how come words come out from her mouth are so funny, and can make people laugh, but when I repeat the same thing, NO RESPOND FROM OTHERS AT ALL. hahahha.

I still remember the first day I met her in IMU, she wore black blouse and pants and asked me about the LRT route. I was very happy to find a friend to accompany me as during that time I had to take train myself, and I don't like to be alone all the time. Learn to know that having someone from the same class that will be going by LRT as me make me feel very relief.

My LRT gang(photo taken in semester 3): ks, jivan, me and Shui yee

Shui yee is a special person. I feel very happy to know her. During our 3 years friendship, you had changed my ways of thinking and gives me so much fun aside from the bored and dull lectures... hehehe.

Lastly, the same advice from me again laaaa.
smile more often!!!
wear dresses and high heel as well!!!
Hope you will be always happy and healthy.

Klang Bak Kut Teh

I am coming!!! Klang Bak kut teh!!!
My friends and I went to Klang to eat the famous bak kut teh on wednesday!!!
This is the Klang leng lui who bring us around. ahahaha.

We are so desperate to eat the bak kut teh and forget to take a proper group photo. Anyway, the one in white T shirt is minying. The one in blue T shirt is seng yeong and the last one in black T shirt is 'chi yuk mui' eelin.

So, let the picture tell u the story of pork.
This is wet bak kut teh. Inside there is nice herb soup, pork, vege, fried onion, ginger, mushroom, fried tou fu, tou fu skin. WAAAAAAA the soup is so delicious and we keep adding and adding. hehe so 'pai se'

Oh ya, almost forget the 3 layer pork --- eelin favorite.

This is dry bak kut teh. Dry bak kut teh has a tasty gravy with pork, dry chili, lady's fingers, dry squid, salted fish, fried onion and many nice spices.

Lastly, this is "You Zha Gui". Dipped inside the soup before we eat !!! super nice.
Actually malaysia has many good food in each states and town. These traditional nice dishes are relatively cheap compare to those expensive cafe and restaurants in KL, BUT the taste is special and extremely delicious. Just need to ask the local people to bring us around.

So, THANK YOU minying!!! thank you for bring us around. I will definitely come for klang bak kut teh again.

Happy dumpling festival

The dumpling festival is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month.
hehe, actually it is fall on tuesday 19 june this year...
so this blog is a bit out dated. hahaha

The chinese rice dumpling = Zhong Zi = bak chang

A traditional dumpling usually has chestnuts, pork, black-eyed beans, mushrooms, salted egg yolk, small dry prawn and dry squid inside the glutinous rice.

hehe, the dumpling in the pic below taste super NICE. It is wrapped by my grandma.

So, the story of 'duan wu' festival or dumpling festival is like that...

Once upon a time in the Chu kingdom there live a scholar-poet called Qu yuan. This man is very patriotic and he jumped into the Miluo river after the Chinese emperor refused to listen to his advice which resulted to the fall of the Chu kingdom.

So, Qu yuan friends and the people in Chu kingdom went to search for his body but they could not trace it. Then, in order to lure the fishes and demon away from Qu yuan body, they made dumplings and threw them into the river to protect the body.

This is it!!! eat the dumpling and know the story. So that each time when other people asked we can answer them proudly that we chinese actually has a patriotic soul once upon a time.

Beautiful Sunday

My friends and I went to do charity work yesterday morning.
It is a recycle point set up by the Tzu Chi association.

Many residents nearby sent the old clothes, newspaper, magazines, electronic wares, tins, glass, plastics and many other things which can be recycle to the recycle point.

Our job is to help the volunteers to separate those things accordingly.
This is the first time we went to the recycle point, the volunteers there are very helpful and taught us the proper way to sort different materials accordingly.

That's me!!! (VERY SERIOUS FACE) hahaha

That's my friends: foot seng, min choo, yuen nee, chuan zhen and me!

SO, just to inform...
The activity starts from 8-11am every sunday of the 3rd week of every month at Bandar Sungai Long
So those who interested to help out can just go to the place directly.

After the activity ends, I brought my friends to eat the famous Kajang Satay...

The photo is self explainable la!!!
The satay is very tasty and the air tebu is sweet naturally. Without any flavoring.
Although some say the satay at their place are nicer, but I still think that Satay kajang cannot be beaten la.
hehehe. Come Kajang eat satay la!

Sivaji The Boss

Sivaji the boss is a bollywood movie.
I never heard of or watch the movie before until I see today newspaper.

This movie premiere caused chaos in more than 10 cinemas all over Malaysia last night...
The angry fans smashed the glass display, throw mineral bottles, damage the chairs, tore the screen curtain and do all sorts of stupid acts.

Tickets for the movie sold out a few days ago.
Many fans cannot buy tickets to watch the movie...
Some unscrupulous people bought many tickets and raised the ticket price to RM30...
To make matter worse, some cinema delay the show, making the crowd waited for a few hours...
Then, in Klang cinema, the movie stop halfway due to technical problems..
In PJ, the police even be summoned to the cinema to prevent unwanted incidents.

Wow.. This is the first time I see such incidents happen in Msia.
Guess it must be a very interesting movie???

But then...
Bollywood movie is famous for their leng chai and leng lui actors and actresses, the never ending singing and dancing scene, love stories, fighting scene and the triad story.
The story is always like that only!!
What is so special about this sivaji?

I am not being sarcastic or trying to promote pirated thing
but the vcd or dvd can be buy in everywhere, if they are so impatient, just buy them to watch first. It is just a premiere right???
There are still so much time for them to watch. Why need to be so angry???

Movie can provide an imaginary and ideal world to the viewers.
The hero or heroine can always save the world in the end
The Bad people will always die
But all these will not happened in the realistic world.
Most of the time, only the opposite things will happened.

I like to watch movie.
Imagine myself to be rich, pretty, succesful, famous..
But movie is only 3 hours.
After that we had to Go back to the real world again.

Hope the real world will be more beautiful.
Hope the fans understand the fact that movie is just a movie.
They cant replace anything.
After all the stupid acts, life still has to go on
Hope they don't do things that mempersiasuikan malaysia again.

Scars

I came back from Sarawak for quite some time edi...
As in my post earlier, the trip was fun, but now problems come...

As the mosquitoes there are too friendly, I kena 'kiss' a lot of times on both arms and legs.
These area are full with many colorful spots now... Red, brown, black...
If you are artistic enough, you can actually see patterns.
My friend say UNIQUE BATIK PATTERN. wat the hell...
-.- The only thing I can say is Mulu mosquitoes are very talented...
They actually design the bites!!!

Now I often wear 3 quarter pants to avoid being stare too often.
Don't ask me why I don't wear long pants. (hello! this is malaysia. It is so hot laaaaaaaaaaa).

So, back to story again... Although it is 3 quarter, some with sharp eyes will still see them.
Somehow, I think only kids are having sharp eyes.
When I went for jogging in the park, those primary school kids will look at my legs with strange stares. Then, when I look at them, they will just pretend to look away.
I caught them looking a few times as if I have some sort of disease. -.- sighhhhhhhhhh...

However, if it is only scar, I can still tolerate.
But the itchiness is the thing I cannot tahan.
Even until now, I can still feel the itchiness quite often.

Everyone who see my legs will open their mouth in shock and make that noise 'yeeeeeeee'
one can actually see the SCARED symdrome on their face very clearly.
S- staring
C- curiosity
A- anguish
R- recoil
E- embarrassment
D- dread

I can now really understand how those people with facial disfigurement feel.
I only had mosquitoes bites and it is only temporary.
Imagine those who had cleft lips, burns marks, birth marks on their face..
PLEASE DON'T STARE AT THEM. IT IS VERY RUDE.
JUST TAKE THEM AS NORMAL PEOPLE.

SO... this is what Cathy and May said...
use MEDERMA to erase the scar.
Ok la, I will give it a try once all the lesions go flat.
Hope Mederma is as effective as what it says la.

Namo Amitofu

This is MIECC - Msia International Exhibition convention centre

I went to visit the Buddhist culture & arts exhibition last Sunday..

This exhibition show the Buddha RELICS !!! 舍利子 --- "gem stones" obtained after cremation of the highly respected saint who have devoted their entire lifetime to spiritual practices and dedicated to the welfare.

However, the relics sometime can be obtained from the common people!!! This is when those people did a lot of good deeds when they are alive.

These relics come with various shapes. They are colorful. Mostly come in red, white and black. Some look like pearl, some look like diamond.

It is said that relics have magical power. They carry positive energy to inspire goodness and protect the devotees.

I purchased lotus and queue up with many devotees to wait for my turn to see the sacred relic and get blessing from the monk!!! (pray hard to be always pretty. hahaha)

Besides relics, the exhibition also has a giant lantern comprising 84 small lanterns. The lantern are illuminated by many colorful bulbs and they rotate by itself. It is very pretty.

I also see the mandala produced by Tibetan monks. It is made from millions of coloured grains of sand. It is said that at the end of exhibition it will be destroyed to remind that all things in the universe are impermanent.

The exhibition also has many statues, calligraphy, paintings, arts exhibition and charitable sales.
They also have clutural performances, floral arrangement, photography and stamps exhibition.

As I always tell people I am a buddhist, actually I do not know much about the buddha practice. This exhibition let me understand more about my religion and see many things I had never seen before.

Yes I do!!!

Imagine this...

In a lovely evening, a 67 years old man hold flowers, ring, bend his knee and proposed to a 53 years old woman...

He stared into her eyes and asked: Will u marry me???
She was shocked, open her mouth in disbelief...
There was silence for a moment, tears rolling down from her eyes...
She never thought this man, the PM will one day proposed to her.
Finally, she said: Yes, I do!!!

Isn't this romantic??? haha, this is just imagination laaaaa

hehe, but then I think this is how our Pak Lah proposed to Jeanne Abdullah.

At the age of 67, many men at this age already retired... Their daily life may be go yum cha and tai chi every morning, taking care of grandchildren, plant some vegetables, chatting with neighbours and sometime fight with the wife....

But, for Pak Lah, at this age, it is just a beginning of his life as the prime minister...
He is so so so busy, having so so so many works to do, fly here and there...
He may be already facing many health problems: arthritis, backache, indigestion, hehe, maybe frequent urination at night too!!! ;-p

(hehe, just crapping la!!! but is possible oso!!! The symptoms above are common health problems faced by elderly men la... )

When he returned to home, he had no wife to fight with him!!! Endon had left him for more than 1 year... Although he still love her, he has his own career, many children and grandchildren, he has maid, chef, garderner to help him manage his house, but still, the role of a wife is not so easily replaced by children and maid.

Although we knew he still love Endon, but then, life must moved on. This is a very realistic matters. He need someone to take care of him.

So, since Jeanne had work for him in his official residential for more than 20 years, taking care of his household stuffs even before Endon passed away, and then since she had divorced for more than 15 years, I guess this is how 2 lonely heart fell for each other...

Anyway, CONGRATULATION to Pak LAh.. our beloved prime minister.

Hope after his marriage, after he had a wife to take care of him, he will have more energy and strength to manage our country.

衷心祝福:希望一对新人新婚快乐,甜甜蜜蜜,百年好合,白头偕老。

Millionaire fair - gateway to the luxury lifestyle

I came across the millionaire fair on tv a few days ago...

As I am a poor student, this fair had nothing to do with me NOW, but then, think twice, maybe in the FUTURE I will have a chance to be an exhibitor or a participant..

haha, everything is possible !!! we never know.

Millionaire fair is a place where the extraordinary rich people can spend their money to buy extravagant and luxury things. It is a place EXCLUSIVELY RESERVED FOR PEOPLE WHO HAD A LOT OF MONEY BUT DUNNO WHERE TO SPEND..

The Millionaire Fair was first organised by Gijrath Media Groep International
and it is held annually in Shanghai, Moscow, Amsterdam and Kortrijk.

Visitors are normally the rich & famous, celebrities, CEOs, entrepreneurs and networkers, spotters and bon vivants and the media.

These people can find a broad cross-section of exclusive products and services in luxurious surroundings. In addition, there are many stunning presentations and dazzling performances to keep them well entertained.

Things that they sell in the fair include:
  • Arts and antique
  • Luxury cars

  • Interior & design
  • Jewellery & watches

  • Lifestyle
  • Travel
  • Boats & Yachts
  • Private Jets & Helicopters
  • Fashion & Haute Couture
  • Investment
  • Spirits & Haute Cuisine
  • Cosmetics & Beauty
  • Home entertainment, sound & vision
  • Telecom
  • Hotels & Resorts
  • Property
  • Banking & Finance

In short, a bazaar is for the normal people and the millionaire fair is for the rich.

Although they do not specify the price on their website, but then, see the exhibitor list !!!

See what they selll in the fair!!! helicopter, yatch, hotel!!! imagine the amount of money they had to pay... imagine the transaction amount... Imagine how much can the exhibitor earn...

Sighhh...

While in some part of the world, people still need to fight for the basic necessities to survive, fight for food, shelter, too poor to pay medical bill, no money to pay school fee... these rich people are gather together to buy all kind of luxury things.

No wonder Bill Gate once said: The world is unfair.
This fact is really cruel... but it is so so so real.

Hope these rich people do remember there are still many unlucky people in the world...

Since they can spend so much money to buy luxury things, hope that they wont forget to take some money to help the poor.
